The second edition  "Dîner en Blanc" in Barcelona will be held on July 11, 2013.

It is a very curious and itinerant event. It has already been done in other cities like New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Singapore ...

It is a massive event that takes place outdoors, in a public space where his funniest feature is that everything has to be white. The own wizards are responsible for bringing the food, furniture, clothing, remembering that everything must be white.

If you want to participate in this event so fun, here I leave you the web where you can do your pre-registration.

It is expected that this year there are more than 1000 participants, you'll be one of them? If so tell me everything!

Lovely Pasta

Ultimamente me he dado a la pasta.

Lately I love  pasta.

A few years ago it was difficult to find the union of design and gastronomy in the supermarket ...
I'm happy with this change ... I confess that sometimes I buy something without knowing very well what it is only for the design packaging.

Someone make the same?

Have a great Thursday just one day to hold a G&T in your hand copichuela on hand as a good Friday!

There is something better than your children follow in your steps? (to read in english go below) // Hay algo mejor que tus hijos sigan tus pasos?

To those who like a profession, to those we feel with passion and effort you can imagine the satisfaction I feel when I see my son in the kitchen. I love to feel that I have conveyed this passion unintentionally . He is capable to amaze me!

Those who follow me on the blog you shall know that Fridays are crêpes night at home (remember it here if you want) He gives me every Friday night an idea! I think he goes without saying anything thinking during the week, as he has a secret.

The last idea was, "Papi I think for sweet crêpes would be more good if we add to the mass cocoa powder? .... Great!. Last week was," Daddy as you and mummy like coffee, you can put  Nescafe to the mass? ... Great too.

And like this ideas, more and more, now at home we don't cook an omelette without roasted nuts, is that my son like to add nuts to any meal ...

Yes, you can say it ...I'm a proud father =)

Have a  good week!

The most cool sandwiches made for the most cool father [to read in english go below] / Los bocadillos mas divertidos hechos por un padre!

Here's a sign that something as routine as prepare your kids snack for school every day can be as fun and special.

David Laferrier must be the envy of all school parents, because for four years when he  prepare the snack for his kids to go school he draws them an illustration in the bag, he takes a picture and posts them here. Cool!

I was amused to find these sandwiches  because my wife does something similar at home with the kids, here the bag's sandwich are made with white paper and she writes them notes or messages to them. Sometimes to make them laugh, sometimes to remind them something or just to remind them that we are always with them though not physically.
The idea came because when we change the country and children changed the school they had no friends so they didn't play on the playground. My wife wanted to get a motivation and a joy for them to reach the playground time .... and she got it.

Here I leave the photos of these super sandwiches ...

I like the people that makes the rutinary stuff something special!
Have a funny weekend!

You must to be organized ** Hay que organiarse!

Chef Paul Haddad

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I go to school to pick up my kids, I get the feeling that the moms look me like an encyclopedia of recipes ... hahahaha ... I love it, aah!

The truth is that most of them are going about looking for ideas to cook, the recipe now no is a problem because they get it in google, but before you get the idea to search is already a task.
And when you have the idea, you can not carry it out because you are without some ingredients..

Surfing the net I found this free printable [click here] for your meals schedule for a week.

I know a home that already have it.

Have a organized week!

Doing juggling! /Jungando a hacer malabares!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And how many days without going through here!

But what how many things have happened in these days!

That your computer is full of viruses ... doesn't help ....

Do not let me put the letter zeta doesn't help ....

Start a new project with difficult timestables ... doesn't help ...

It's season of Communions, Weddings and banquets ... also doesn't help me to write what I like, but it is clear that I will not complain about it.

And have your fruit trees full and having to pick, does not help me much free time.

But I'm catching up!!

The way to clean and eat oysters // Como limpiar y comer ostras

Chef Paul Haddad

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oysters are one of the most desirable seafood, texture, smell and taste make it unique
But be careful when cleaning and handling.

Runs cold water in a sink. Gently rub the shells of oysters with a small brush to remove sand from the shells. Place the oysters washed in a large bowl filled with one gallon (3.7 liters) of fresh water and one-third cup of salt.

Dip the oysters for 20 minutes. Oysters will circulate water through your system, wiping themselves and expelling sand.

Repeat this process two more times, making sure you use clean water to every dive.

Take oysters, drain the water and rinse before chipping, serving or cooking.

There are many recipes for oysters, but for me the best way to eat them are with lemon, without further complications, thus maintaining incredible ocean scent.
If you want to eat with lemon all you have to do is sprinkle with a little pepper and just before to eat  dousing lemon juice.

Awesome! Like my week...

Why chocolate alleviate us?

Que paséis un súper fin  de semana!
Chef Paul Haddad

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And who don't ran to chocolate or vodka during pain times?

The taste buds send the message to the cerebral cortex.
This message may vary depending upon how people are influenced with the food from we were young.

I will try to explain, what happens when a child cries inconsolably because he's hurt? that many of us try to console them with candy, or when the child has done something to reward? the prize is a candy bar.
These actions are teaching and accustoming the child's brain to tell you when you're hurt physically or emotionally  you needs sweet pleasure, a sweetness that the moment don't give it to you.
But what happens if instead of chocolate we give him a piece of lemon? when the child will grow he'll need an acid food to replace the pain.

Seeing this "heartbreak kit" on the net, comes to my mind that one day someone close to me, said : "do not give your kids chocolate as a gift  like, something to compensate for pain or lack of something. Give it as if it were a lemon, then he will not need it as a consolation.

Have a great weekend!

Are you in diet? / Estás a dieta?

Chef Paul Haddad
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The good weather will arrive and the time to listen: "put on your swimsuit to go to the beach".. that terrifies many people.
So, many of us are in the process of diet.

And most we do is spend the day drinking water, eating  vegetables and fruit all day.

But be careful! not always is healthy or "diet".

Always try to eat the fruit half an hour before meals, otherwise the fruit will be "locked" in the small intestine waiting to pass into the stomach and will ferment. This means your body will absorb more sugar that if you eat it on an empty stomach.

The raw vegetables are better to eat at noon, not at night.
Because metabolism is slower at night and we can produce acid or gas. This means you can be more bloated than usual.

It is best if you go to a dietician, but if the crisis does not allow it, a little information about each food item never hurts!

Look a great body this summer!
