Ya se acerca el capítulo donde salgo haciendo de jurado en un reality show de cocineros. Se llama Top Chef, y para los españoles deciros que es como una Operación Triunfo pero a lo cocinillas. Es un programa que se hace con todos los países árabes y está producido aquí en Líbano.
Pues bien, ya me tenéis sufriendo...y es que hacer de Risto Mejide no se me da nada bien...hahahaha.
Aunque me encantó poder disfrutar de esta oportunidad, ver como se hace un capítulo fue muy divertido. Los nervios previos a la grabación, la iluminción, el plató, las cámaras.... de verdad os digo que impone.
Os confieso algo, yo cuando estoy nervioso me da por reir...y claro hay una escena donde los que somos jurado esperamos sentados a los concursantes con mirada inquisitoria. Todos teníamos que estar serios, pero muy serios y claro, a mi justo en ese momento lo único que me apetecía era reir. Espero que no se note!!
Sinceramente, yo pensaba que estos realitys estaban bastante "amañados" pero puedo decir que está todo hecho con mucho rigor y sin trampa ni cartón.
En ningún momento se me dirigió para decir una cosa u otra y como a mí al resto del jurado.
Los concursantes están aislados realmente del exterior, no se conocen entre sí, y para mi lo más importante y sorprendente es que cuando empieza el capítulo se les da unos ingredientes sorpresa y "ale" a inventar! y realmente esto como cocinero os digo que es realmente difícil.
Sacar un plato con harmonía y creatividad con tiempo, es relativamente fácil, pero la improvisación siempre trae sorpresas. Pues bien, que nivelón!!
Esta es la segunda edición que se hace a nivel árabe, pero el formato se ha cogido de Francia que llevan ya 9 ediciones.
Hay 14 concursantes , con distintas nacionalidades ( libaneses, qatarís, jordanos, marroquís, etc...) y para ellos debe ser realmente complicado. Son personas valientes y arriesgadas. Como me dijo uno de ellos al terminar el reality el presentarte es como una partida de poker porque es como una moneda, con 2 caras...porque si eres el primero en salir ¿ que pasa? tu reputación y caché baja en el momento que sales al exterior, pero en cambio si eres de los finalistas (solo hay 3) ya tienes tu futuro bastante asegurado.
Y ya si ganas te llevas un premio en cash de 50.000 $ además de un viaje una semana a Italia a hacer un training.
Así es que por ser personas valientes y con coraje tienen mi más profundo respeto y admiración. Y les deseo que esta aventura les haya servido para crecer profesionalmente.

It is about the chapter where I was jury in a reality show cooks. It's called top chef. This program is done with all Arab countries and is produced here in Lebanon.
I loved being able to enjoy this opportunity, see how to do a chapter was fun. The nerves prior to recording, the set, cameras ....
I confess something,when I'm nervous I need to laugh ... and there's a scene where we are sitting judges expect contestants with inquisitive eyes. We all had to be serious, very serious, so to my right then all I wanted was laugh. I hope you do not notice!
Honestly, I thought these reality shows are "rigged" but I can say is all done with rigor.
At no time directed me to say one thing or another and like me the rest of the jury.
The contestants are isolated from the outside really do not know each other, and my most important thing and surprising is that when you start the chapter gives some surprise ingredients and it's time to be inventive! and really I say this as a chef is really difficult.
Take a plate of harmony and creativity with time, it is relatively easy, but improvisation always brings surprises. And they made very well!!
