Ayer fue la fiesta de despedida del embajador español en Líbano...
He tenido la suerte de coincidir con él en 4 ocasiones, y diréis...que pocas! pues os diré que me han bastado para tenerle aprecio.
Me ha parecido un embajador impecable de la cultura española en Líbano.
Se ha dejado la piel y el tiempo, en dar a conocer las tradiciones, costumbres, folclore de un país. España ha estado presente en los máximos y distintos actos.
Que se puede pedir más a un embajador?
En un primer momento, cuando te hablan del embajador, piensas en una persona enfundada en traje y trato distante. Hasta que lo conoces.
Persona cercana, risueña, amable, y con un don de gentes sin límite. Así es el Sr. Juan Carlos Gafo.
Para los que seguís el blog, sabréis mi poca habilidad con las fotos (la cámara tampoco lo pone fácil), pero ayer directamente me la olvidé. Eso sí, me llevé el jamonero, que no falte! jajaja...pero lo de las fotos, quizás en otra vida me decida a tomármelo en serio.
Una pena, porque quedaron gracias a cámaras de ajenos, un montón de imágenes inmortalizadas de las cuales yo no tendré.. y no os puedo enseñar.
Ayer hubo mucha gente, de todos lo ámbitos. Una mezcla increíble de personas. Y esto demuestra, que se ha movido por todos los ambientes, no sólo entre grandes despachos y corbatas. Y personalmente, ésto me gusta.
Falta por contaros, que ayer todos nosotros pudimos saborear tapas de lo más español, Jamón ibérico al corte ( con mi arte...jajajaja), spanish quesos, sangría...por supuesto todos los productos de Spanish Gourmet Lebanon.
Ahora nos toca esperar a la próxima embajadora destinada aquí en Beirut.
Mientras tanto a disfrutar del fin de semana....!

Yesterday was the farewell party of the Spanish ambassador in Lebanon ...
I've been fortunate to coinciding with it 4 times and say ... that few! for I say I have enough to keep him appreciation.
It seemed a perfect ambassador of Spanish culture here.
He has worked to publicize the traditions, customs, folklore of a country. Spain has been present in the highest and various events.
What more could you want an ambassador?
At first, when you talk ambassador's think of a person clad in suit and distant treatment. Until you meet him.
Someone close, smiling, friendly, and people skills with no limit. So is Mr.Juan Carlos Gafo.
For those who follow the blog, you know my little skill with the photos (the camera also makes it easy), but yesterday I forgot it directly. Of course, I took the cutter ham, I don't miss it! hahaha ... but the photos, maybe in another life I decided to take it seriously.
A pity, because photos were due to others, a lot of images immortalized of which I will not have .. and I can't show you.
Yesterday there were many people in all the areas. An incredible mix of people. And this shows, that has been moved by all environments, not only between large firms and ties. And personally, I like this.
It remains to tell that yesterday all we could taste as Spanish tapas, Slicing Iberian ham (with my art ... hahaha), spanish cheeses, sangria ... of course all the products were from Spanish Gourmet Lebanon.
Now we wait for the next Ambassador destined here in Beirut.
Meanwhile enjoy the weekend ....!
